Wood Sorrel

Wood sorrel is a nice thirst quencher very refreshing to eat. The leaves and flowers are all edible and have a mild sour that remind lemon taste.

 

Wood sorrel is high in vitamin C and also contains vitamin A. The entire plant of Wood sorrel is used as an alternative medicine, with diuretic and refrigerant actions.

Wood sorrel can be added to salads or used in soups and sauces. Wood sorrel tea when cooled can make a refreshing beverage especially when sweetened with honey.
